I FOUND GOOD ARTICLE :D

from http://smallbusinessanswers.yahoo.com/overrated
the article is about
The 7 Most Overrated Businesses
by Kelly K. Spors and Kevin Salwen
Nice... i get my focus to know about plus minus be independent consultant :D
here it is...

"...5. Independent Consulting.
Common advice for aspiring entrepreneurs is to stick with industries they know. So, for many looking to escape the corporate treadmill that means turning their professional expertise into a one-person consulting firm.

It seems practical – more companies are indeed relying on independent contractors and freelancers these days – but it's not as easy to pull off as many imagine, says Dennis Ceru, an entrepreneurship professor at Babson College in Babson Park, Mass. Many consultants struggle with time management problems, spending so much time scouting work that it's very difficult to earn steady income. "The difficulty many face is they go through peaks and valleys of having work," says Prof. Ceru. "When the engagement ends, they are frantically looking for work," which may take weeks or months.

A possible solution: "A successful consulting firm needs people to find the work, grind out the work and mind the work. Unless you know you can do all three yourself, you potentially expose your business to great risk."..."

....well.... *thinking :P

Kinda Resume...

Almost 1 years, i never 'touch' this blog...
well i guess i need to re-active again...
coz it will be useful for preparing october lil secret project, maybe...hehe...

hmm...if i look back to one year ago...
i am just fresh graduated student who just dont know what to do...until they accept me to join as junior architect...
hmm... even it's very far from my imagination before... i try to stand up for life :)... so that, i always try to find what is the best in my life...

God shows me the way...
step by step...
he gives me some alternatif ways to reach my dreams by facing me with quiet unhappy situation in job :D...
So, i can more get closer to architecture world not only such as an architect... but also in the other way :D... still need to have many practices :)

Next up, maybe can be one good alternatif way :)...
maybe quiet general but really useful, i guess

How to Freelance With a Full-Time Job

By eHow Contributing Writer

Instructions :
  1. Step 1

Create a schedule. Managing two jobs can often get tricky if you don't know how to manipulate your time correctly. Write down a detailed schedule or outline on when exactly you have time to work on freelancing and block out those times in order to devote yourself solely to your writing.

  2. Step 2

Prepare yourself mentally that this will be a lot of work. Not only do you have a full-time job, you will also have a job to come to at home. Stay calm and don't get stressed out, or it will be easy to give up.

  3. Step 3

Choose projects that you can handle. If you know of a project that will keep you up all night furiously trying to finish, that project might not be right for you because it'll affect your full-time job. Know your limits.

  4. Step 4

Try freelancing in an area different than your home. If you find yourself not motivated to work while at home, pack up your stuff and head to the nearest library or coffee shop. Being in a different environment may help give you the motivation you need.

  5. Step 5

Inform friends and family about your decision to freelance on the side so that they aren't constantly calling and bugging you. You need to have your alone time in order to work, and they need to understand that in order for you to succeed.
